To ease the pain that heartaches bring from broken love affairs

To many make the same mistake and try to drown their cares

The liquor flows their money goes and teardrops fall like rain

One thing for sure this is no cure it´s just to ease the pain

A crowed place a friendly face of one who wears a smile

The warmth and bliss from someone´s kiss will linger for a while

A drink or two with someone new might not be in vain

But this won´t heal a hurt that´s real it´s just to ease the pain

A broken heart will fall apart when left alone to grieve

To ease the pain and hide the shame you´ll live in make believe

The tears you´ll hide but deep inside the torture will remain

There´s no mistake the drink you take it´s just to ease the pain

In every life where pain and strife can hold the winning hand

The soul will cry and wonder why the things that fate had planned

The doubts and fears and bitter tears may be an endless chain

But living fast won´t hide the past it´s just to ease the pain
