I was up in Virginia at a place called Pappa Joe’s

I looked across the dance floor saw a girl I didn’t know

I was really showing off when I took her by the hand

I said come on and dance with me I’m gonna be your loving man

If you don’t want a gorilla on your hands

I monkeyed with another monkey’s monkey and I met a gorilla man

We were really turning it on and boy I was having some fun

And that’s when I discovered I was a holding that gorilla man’s hon

We were out on the dance floor when I happened to look around

He must of weighed three hundred pounds

I had a lot of time to think it over lying in this hospital bed

And her gorilla whupped upon my head
